Mark Rubinstein has produced and managed over 90 productions in the West End, on tour and internationally.
Current and upcoming projects include: TINA The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych), Be More Chill (The Other Palace), Monsoon Wedding (Leeds Playhouse and Roundhouse) and Beautiful- The Carole King Musical (UK tour).
Recent projects include: Sweat (Gielgud), Stephen Sondheim’s Company (Gielgud) for Elliott & Harper productions, Workshop of Sing Street (London), Workshop of Roman Holiday (London and Shanghai), Beautiful- The Carole King Musical (Aldwych and UK tour), La Soirée (a 10-year rolling International tour including nine London seasons – 2015 Olivier Award: Best Entertainment), Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle (Wyndham’s), Billy Elliot: The Musical (UK and Ireland tour), The Miser (Garrick ), The Dresser (Duke of York’s), Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined (Criterion), Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense (Duke of York’s and UK and India tours) and Once the Musical (Phoenix and Korea).
Other projects have included School of Rock (West End pre-production), War Horse (UK, Ireland and South Africa tour), A Doll’s House (Duke of York’s and BAM, New York), Butley (Brighton Festival and Duchess), Punchdrunk’s The Drowned Man (Temple Studios, Paddington), the West End transfers of the National Theatre’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Untold Stories, the European tour of Fela! (Holland Festival and Sadler’s Wells Theatre) and the South African Isango Portobello Company’s productions of The Magic Flute – Impempe Yomlingo (Duke of York’s and International tours) and The Mysteries – Yiimimangaliso (Garrick).
Mark Rubinstein Ltd has provided consultancy services to the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, the Young Vic Theatre, Punchdrunk and the Criterion Theatre.
Mark Rubinstein was the President of the Society of London Theatre from 2011 to 2014 and Vice President from 2014 to 2017. He was previously the chair of the Finance Committee of the Society.
